West Mids Region Champs

by WMRR

The West Midlands 2022 Regional Championship returns as a stand-alone race for the first time since 2019 and is now open for entries.

The race will be held on the Minsterley circuit in North Shropshire on June 12, over eight and a half laps of a roughly 10-mile rolling circuit, which was last used in 2018 for the opening road race stage of the Giro del Mon 3-Day.

In 2021 the Region Championships was run as part of the Worcester Classic on the Welland Circuit.

The championship will be open to Elite, 1st, 2nd and 3rd category riders, and riders are reminded that the BC rule on eligibility states, “a rider may only compete in a Regional Championship for the Region stated on their Racing Licence.”

Volunteer help will be needed to make sure this race goes ahead; riders who can bring a volunteer with them are asked to contact the organiser.
